And so I leave northern California.
Next up, Denver for the Great American Beer Festival!
Today started with my buddy’s wife being rushed to the ER. She’s fine but it meant we spent the day watching football, taking care of the kid and chillin’ at home. Therefore, no pics.
Hey, it’s a vacation.
Today was another day of country simplicity. First we ran all over town gathering chairs, tables, balloons, supplies for my buddy’s mother-in-law’s surprise birthday party. Then we ate and drank until we passed out in our chairs.
BTW, the tri-tip was freaking awesome!
My first real day in Nevada City was spent eating…
…hanging with my college buddy Jamie…
… in his new home…
…with his sick wife, his daughter…
…and his dog.
This is country living folks.
Tomorrow, I met a whole heck of a lot of folks.
And it is with my trusty yet zipper challenged Manhattan Portage carry-on (I should have bought another Timbuk2 bag) that I take off for Nevada City, CA.
Okay, some of you are asking “where?” and others are saying “I thougt you were going to Tahoe” but that’s just easier to say because you know where Tahoe is.
Also, I take great pride in having a small carry-on because I’m a notorious over-packer (I get that from my mother).
