Adios London Town – 31. May, 2010

And so I say good-bye to London after only a few short day.  The beer was great; I strictly stuck to “bitter“.  The food was pretty good although I managed to miss real English cuisine. Instead ate French, Italian, burgers… yes, I know I’m not supposed to eat the burgers here but I thought it was okay now that England does lots of testing.

I also must say that British girls are much better looking than I was lead to believe.  Yes, many do wear slutty blue eye shadow without a hint of irony but how can you not love a ho?

And with that I pack my bag and head for the city of lights.

Got a great suggestion for for food, sightseeing or love in Paris? Send it my way.

Happy Year of Me, Pub Style – 23. February, 2010

My buddy Sean keeps saying “this is the year of Tony” but I didn’t realize how prescient he was until we went to Downtown Los Angeles for the Chinese New Year Parade and saw that it is in deed The Year of the Tiger.

(thanks to Clelio for first giving me that nickname)

And how better to celebrate my year than with an iPhone augmented reality app from Thai beer maker Tiger that helps you find suds in the UK.

Yeah, I know, that was a stretch of a segue but you see how I went from Tony to Year of the Tiger to Tiger Beer to an iPhone app I can’t use because mine is so old plus it only working in the United Kingdom… hey, cut me some slack. I just got over a terrible flu.

Anyway, here’s a video showing how the app works.

Any of my UK readers w/ iPhones wanna tell me if the app works?

(Brien, you don’t have an iPhone, do ya?)

Cutting Short Stuff – 2. March, 2009

Those of you that have met me know that I work more jobs than the Jamaican family from IN LIVING COLOR. Recently, I’ve been editing web videos for a film that launches next month. Here are the first two pieces that I’ve cut.

These shorts are for BEER WARS, a documentary I’ve been helping out on for the last three years. The film shows on over 400 screens on April 16 as part of an event which includes a panel with some prominent American craft brewers including my hero, Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head Brewery.
