Adios London Town – 31. May, 2010

And so I say good-bye to London after only a few short day.  The beer was great; I strictly stuck to “bitter“.  The food was pretty good although I managed to miss real English cuisine. Instead ate French, Italian, burgers… yes, I know I’m not supposed to eat the burgers here but I thought it was okay now that England does lots of testing.

I also must say that British girls are much better looking than I was lead to believe.  Yes, many do wear slutty blue eye shadow without a hint of irony but how can you not love a ho?

And with that I pack my bag and head for the city of lights.

Got a great suggestion for for food, sightseeing or love in Paris? Send it my way.

Let’s Blow This Joint – 28. May, 2010

I haven’t posted in a while and I have reasons.  Some suck , like working two weeks straight, 14 hours a day, but some don’t, like this one…

I’M IN LONDON!

I’m here for a wedding then I’m gonna kick around the continent for a bit so if you have suggestions for what to do in London, Paris, Cinque Terre, Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Milan, Venice or Prague, let me know.

Also, and this is gonna sound so middle school, but would someone pick me up the current issue of Playboy? No, I’m not interested in the articles.  I’m interested in the 3D.

RIP Dio – 20. May, 2010

As I’ve been lost in a bubble of stress, I just now learned that Ronnie James Dio died of cancer.

I throw up the devil horns in his honor.

(it takes a while but the song does eventually kick in)

BTW, Matt, I did see him back in the day and he was pretty awesome.

Red Dead Rave – 17. May, 2010

Tomorrow the postman will only need to ring once because she’s bringing me a new PS3 game. Say hello to Red Dead Redemption.

This game looks pretty awesome but don’t take my word for it. Read the absolutely glowing New York Times review for a second opinion.

Portal On The Mac Promises Cake – 13. May, 2010

The very first game I finished on my PS3 was this super sweet puzzle-game-meets-the-movie-CUBE called PORTAL.

Thanks to the fine folk at Steam (a game service of some sort) you can now enjoy this awesome game on your Mac.  Even better, until May 24 this game won’t cost you a cent. That’s right, it’s free!

Peter Gabriel @ Hollywood Bowl – 10. May, 2010

Caught Peter Gabriel this past weekend at The Hollywood Bowl. Although the show was all orchestral, he rocked. The first part of the show featured a back-to-front performance of his all cover album SCRATCH MY BACK.

The second half was devoted to a lot of the songs you love… with a few exceptions. Yeah, I’m sure “Sledgehammer” would be hard to orchestrate but don’t we all love a challenge?

And why didn’t he play this Vampire Weekend cover?

By now you gotta know how much I love Frightened Rabbit so it’s no surprise that I’d want to share this interview they did with Marco Werman of The World.

As an added bonus, here’s a live in-studio version of “Living in Color”.
