As I’ve had a few requests, I’ve decided to post instructions for importing footage shot w/ the Panasonic HVX200 into Final Cut Pro. I created this document for my DIT.
For reference:
- APC – A surge protector with battery back up.
- DuelAdapter – Hardware that allows me to import P2 cards (PCMCIA) into my 15″ MacBok Pro via the ExpressCard slot.
- El Oso – A G-RAID I use for editing; also Spanish for Bear.
- El Burro – A Western Digital RAID I use for backing up the P2 cards (I’m big on backups); also Spanish for Donkey.
- Last Night – The title of my film.
Lastly, you should know that I culled this from Creative Cow and Shane Ross, an editor I once worked with.
Best of luck.
