Daytime Nightmare – October 23rd, 2007

Like almost every struggling artist, I have a day job. Actually, I have a couple. And then there are all the outside projects; these would be the things I shoot, edit or direct for other artists and businesses. Somewhere in there I generate and develop my own work.

Usually this worked. At the moment, one of my situations is giving me second thoughts. The basic problem: I was hired to do a part-time job for part-time pay. Fair enough. Now I’m being asked to do a full-time job in part-time hours for part-time pay.

:(

I have to rectify that situation. I have to stop working for my job and get it to start working for me.

How do you get your daytime job to work for you?
