#13 – Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters – April 18th, 2007

A very famous movie reviewer said he loved DEATH PROOF because he didn’t know what to expect after the first half of the film. He thought it was new, fresh, original. Me, not so much. I knew exactly where the film was going and I was disappointed in the ending (call me a traditionalist but I was hoping the girls would meet a bloody demise at the hands of Kurt Russell).

AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE COLON MOVIE FILM FOR THEATERS, on the other hand, was completely unpredictable. Full of false starts and tangents that morph into dream sequences which evolve into backstory, I’m sure more than a couple of daytime soap producers were scribbling down notes on how pull off a “Dallas” styled cliffhanger.

Would drugs make this movie better? Probably, but only because it’d force you to stop trying to forge a coherent narrative in your mind.

Oh, and if you do see it in theaters, please, please don’t miss the beginning. It’s been a long time since a movie made me laughed so hard (I’m thinking SOUTH PARK THE MOVIE).
